I’m Melissa Cyr. I’ve got two passions. One is dancing and the other is showing athletes and artists (just like you) how to turn their passions into profitable careers. Careers that will support them and their families into the future.
As life-long professional dancers, my husband and I decided we needed to develop a business that would make our life’s work, work for us. No more uncertain paychecks or wondering where the next job would come from.
As our businesses grew, other professionals (athletes and artists, just like us), confided in us how desperate they were to have more stability in their income. We were shocked at how many of these highly successful, well-respected pros were just scraping by. It became our mission to show them how they too, can parlay their passions into secure, profitable businesses.

The long story:
I’ve been a professional dancer since I was 19. So has my husband. We’ve been blessed to do what we love for many years, and make a 6 figure income from it. But, in May 2010, we had a reality check. My hubby got an injury that kept him off the dance floor for 3 weeks. As luck would have it, an avalanche of crazy unexpected emergencies came up: major car repairs, water leak under the house foundation and even termites! (a Southern California problem )
As self-employed dancers, no work = no money.
We knew at that moment that we needed to forge a new path. We weren’t getting any younger and we had 2 kids and one more on the way. It was time to diversify and leverage our skills and experience into businesses that would work for us, even when we didn’t work on them.
Fast forward a few years. We now have an incredible business for dancesport competitors, DanceSportPlace.com, which lets us share our passion for dancing, our life’s work (and the life’s work of many other phenomenal dancers) with ballroom dance lovers around the world.
After tons of research and trial and error (and hair-pulling), I learned how to make technology work for our business. Dancers, artists and others began to ask me how they could market themselves better in the online world. Let’s face it: in this age, if you’re not marketing online, you’re losing $$$! It’s so exciting for me to help others find success and boom their businesses using technology.
